should I upgrade the I-pipe to 3"?

what do you guys think? its 2.25 right now.

I would say 2.50 inches. 2.25 might be ok. But I think 3" is over kill. Keep in mind the V6 doesnt put out a ton of exhaust gasses.

This is so funny.
I posted that answer on the Camaroz-28 board and got slammed!
They all said 3". I was rather surprised, I agree about back flow.
Wanna cheat?
Try to find a V-8 car in the yard and measure the pipe.
May be able to get it for free and I'll bet it's 2 1/2". Good quality pipe, too!
Then see if 3" is worth paying for.
What I'd really like to do is get a way smoother exhaust flow from the exhaust manifolds to the CC. That a harsh bend.

i have a 3" i pipe..got it and got it installed for a 100 bucks. some FYI... 3" wont fit but 2 7/8" (which is technically what i have) fits.. dunno why but i was told it happens..

I had a 3" pipe on my 2.8 but took it off. It actually seem to loose power (Lack of back pressure) but I also was running w/o a converter at the time. The whole system at the time was the 3" into a flowmaster with the dual 2.5" outlets.
