convertors are good, plus there's that sily federal tampering law, if you must use a hollow pipe, use a "special" convertor, all the looks a reg convertor and all the benifits of a straight pipe.

which exhaust you get is up to you. it really depends on sound and how loud you want it to be. i bought a hooker aerchamber and like it alot. its loud enough on the outside for me, and i can still hold a conversation at night with the windows closed....love the sound

SAEspinz80 has a very nice sounding exhaust! How much was just the muffler?

the aerochamber sounds good! What does it do at high RPM's? I know all v6es sound raspy up high, but is it an annoying rasp, or does it still sound good? WOuld you say the dynomax super turbo sounds better than then hooker?

the aero-chamber cost 79.00 at summit for just the muffler. i like the sound alot!! and at high rpms its sounds real nice. i know the sound of the flowmasters tend to break apart. the soundfile up there is on a cold engine and revs from idle to about 4500 rpm, and you can hear a little pop. but once the engine gets warm i don't hear it at all. hehehe, the other day i slammed the gas near some people on the sidewalk and their heads shot around...hehehe, love that. but i am very happy with the sound. nice and mellow (i think sounds damn close to an 8) and when you get on it and its just sounds mean in my opinon. but, of course if you want real loud go with a flow...but i am not a HUGE fan of them personally. i like this sound better and after all, it all comes down to taste. check this out:
http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin.../ESM/Aero.html

there are some charts for ya....to add to the sound i felt a real good gain throughout the rpm range too....granted it did it after all my other mods. but great muffler in my opinion!! great sound! great gains!

i updated my sig to include part numbers
