why are you asking the 3rd gen V6 board if you dont mind me asking, But if you want my advise....get the LT4 HOT cam for your LT1. Otherwise get the 4.10s and a sticky set of tires which is A MUST! THE second option will be a lot harder on the car....be warned.

monkie, I think grammy has the right idea. Those 4.10's will put your engine in the upper rpm's before you know it, so build the power there with the upper RPM cam.I think the low torque cam was designed more for S10 trucks.

BTW how do you like the LT1? I might be getting one soon.

If you want to give some new SS guys a sick feeling in their stomach then get a LT1 followed with a LT4 hot cam, chip for it, and a CAI (lingenfelter is the best by far, you pay for what you get). I raced a brand new silver SS about 2 weeks ago and stayed right at his back tire. Didn't gain or lose ground. After the race (90mph) we pulled into the mall parking lot and talked. He couldn't believe what happened. But he seemed cool none the less. I think if I hadn't been stupid and went ahead and got a cat back I could have beat him but I was happy with keeping up with him. You will love the LT1. Sounds so much better than the LS1.

I think everyone jumped down your throat for the wrong reason. I'm assuming you didnt know he had a V6 f-bod? If so, it wouldnt make much sense for him to be on the V6 board, so I can see what you meant. We have had a V8 troll around here of late, so everyone is uptight.

thats great! I was hopeing to get a 93-95 Z28 and add a wings west ground effects kit,CAI,catback(maybe true duals),3.73's, for a mid 13 second car, plus a 50 shot to hit some 12's. I have a mickey thompson slick already, so I need just one more and traction will not be a problem.Everyone else has a borla catback, but I heard a flowmaster and it sounded very good and only half the price. Its going to be awhile before I can get it though. Going to college and working 8 dollar mickey mouse job = slow savings. I'll miss my V6 bird though *sniffle*, it may not be nearly as fast as an Lt1, but it seems to handle better than a V8 car.
