New MAF sensor info

Camaros and firebirds, 2.8, use different sensors. Anyone know why? Im using a camaro MAF and was wondering the difference... i need a new MAF because of my last air filter setup for smog.. (air filter came off of my stock air box and lots of crap got sucked into the MAF) so im wondering?

as far as I know they are the same sensors as long as the motors line up right. I:E; same year range size ect ect. I know they will have different part numbers but hell heads fron the 2.8/3.1/3.4 all have different part numbers but are all interchangable.
