How do I boost the fuel pressure on my 2.8?
I know you can buy a new Fuel Pressure Regulator... but I've also heard someone say something about using quarters? What? Where is thing, how do I work it, and how do I get more pressure to my failing injectors?! I can feel the car leaning out when I step on it!

Running leaner actually gives you more power... it's opposite of what's usually thought (more fuel=more power)- but if you're going too lean, you lose power.
The article on making your own f/p regulator by using some change is in the tech article section of thirdgen.org .

Located in the back, in the MIDDLE, under the upper manifold.
BIG circle thing. Schrader valve is VERY close by it!
YOU NEED SPECIAL TORX drivers to remove this thing.
Something in the driving part to push down on a spring release (in the middle) to remove or twist. I know. I found this out. Luckily my buddy had that tool set.
Go get on in the wrecking yard to experiment with. It's on the fuel rail, I believe.

I believe it depends on other mods... a stock 2.8 might not see any gain. The engine needs to have increased air flow before it can use more fuel... unless, of course, the fuel pump is failing.
I believe the "quarter" method is in the thirdgen.org tech articles. I've seen parts stores sell the "security torx set", which consists of torx sockets that have a hole in the center (to accept the security nub that prevents a normal socket from fitting in). You can grind the nub down. I also hear you can smack the nub with a hammer & punch, but that sounds like too hard of an impact to be good for the injectors.
