just to show ya bigger is not always better.killed a v8 just the other day.
a friend and I were crusing with each other. him in his 88 rx7 turbo (stock) and me in my rx7 non turbo( again mostly stock)and another guy in his caddy.
we pull up a light and this loud *** camaro pulls up on my left side and I was talking to the guy. find out it is an 82 iroc. starts asking me what we are running and I tell him just a 1.3L and he laughs like mad and says thats it..... I'm getting kinda pissed now that he is laughing at my car and so I rev my engine and he looks at me like I am stupid me in a 1.3L racing his 305.
look over at my friend and he knows whats going on so he joins in and I rev my engine up to about 5000rpms and just sit there waiting for the light to turn green.
when the light turns green I get off the clutch not to fast but enough to get a chirp and we take off. we were fairly even through out first gear and I hear my shift buzzer come on at 7000 rpms wait till I see the tach hit 8k and then pop the clutch into second doing about 35 or so and get a nice firball out my dual exhaust ( or atleast the guy riding in the caddy said) . by this time my friends turbo is spooled up and he is pulling away a little bit. but me and this iroc are still fairly even with me ahead by about 2 feet. when I hit second I start to pull away fairly strong by the time I hit third I had a good cars distance on him. he quickly made a left turn after that....
oh well ashamed he lost to a smaller motor I guess.
see bigger is not always better :-D
keep up the good work guys and we should all be kicking some v8 butt

I am sorry I sometimes do get the names of the iroc and the z mixed up. I know the iroc came out in '85 and please before you start going about calling me names I am not trying to troll your board if anything just saying hey we all can get fast enough to beat a v8 just some work and skill.
edit: oops did not notice the good job on the end though you were refering to me but no it was not an iroc. it was the Z.
