Roller Rockers

anyone here ever put in full roller rockers
in their car?
1.5 or 1.6:
Will they even clear the valve covers?
I remenber reading about this before, but cannot find it in the search.

Just asking, new springs mandatory, along witha winning lottery ticket to pay for said full rockers.

On the 2.8 and 3.1 blocks, it's not possible without additional machine work. Don't know what exactly, but something about the cam...??

I'm not talking about magnum tips, but full needle bearing "add 20 hp" rollers. I've seen themin PAW for like $365 or so.

Sht, the most I ever won on a ticket (scratch-off) was $6.

E-mail the company that makes the rockers... maybe they can help. By the way, a SB chevy uses the same 1.5 rockers we do- the difference is in the rocker arm nut. We use a 10mm metric nut, they use a 3/8 SAE nut. And as ya know, those two are virtually identical thru a socket set; the difference would be in the threads. So if you can't find 'em listed for a 2.8, but can find 'em for a 305, tell the company this info, and ask if there'd be a problem.

Also, see if they make 'em for a f-body 305 with a hydraulic cam. If so, it seems they'd work...

(This is all just guessing, by the way; ask the companies!)

1.5,1.52 will fit. 1.6 you have to "make room with a hammer". Greame knows this one I believe.
