Replacing dash lights

Replacing dash lights

My light blew out over my speedo, how do i change the light? Do i have to take the whole dash apart, or just the black dash casinfg?

i havebeen wanting to replace the dash lights just so that there brighter, whats the brightest i can go??

Oh it is pretty much a pain the butt to get to it. I can't rember the year of your car, but if the inside is close to the same as a 92 Camaro RS you have to remove the kick plate so you can get to the bolts for the trim plate, then once it is lose you have to pop out the head light **** (no easy task). Next the clear plastic cover has to come off, and finaly you gain access to the cluster asym. On mine the whole cluster had to come out.

To get the head light **** off there is a small button on the bottom of the head light switch. Once the trim plate is lose you can move it out of the way so you can twist in an unhuman maner to push the button.

Why is it all ways the speedo light that goes out?!?!??!

I'm going to put in a set of blue 194's that should be bright enough, that what the book at the part store I work at said.
