loud exhaust that doesn't sound rice...

I know I know... it's asking alot... but hear me out...
I've pretty much decided on 2.5 inch system with tips that I got at a junkyard... crome 3" or 3&1/4 inch by 16" ***** (s l a n t) cut tips that I'm going to use...

I'll also end up getting headers sometime in the future, as soon a Camaro_Hunter_D makes them for us... as well as a custom Y-pipe that will bolt up between them, and a Catco catalytic converter to keep everyone happy...

My question is what muffler to put in the system... I've heard that Super Turbo's are pretty quiet, and that Flowmasters sounds really riceish once you get past 3000 RPMs... I've heard different opinions on Dyno max Ultra Flows... some say they're louder, some say quieter than SuperTurbo's...

What about cherry bombs, CVX's? Glasspacks? Aerochambers? Keep in mind that I'm looking for throaty and on the loud side... something compareable to my hole-ridden exhaust now (only not so damn loud inside, I wanna project that sound back, not right into my ears...)

Anyone have suggestions, beggars can't be choosers, I know... but it's worked once when looking for a job, I'd like to think it'll work now...

(oh, and if it matters, as I've heard it does... I'll have a custom KNN intake in the near future as well)

(PS, everyone on the exhaust board says oyu can't make a V6 sound good... I'd like to ignore that... If anything, just tell me which is louder, Ultra Flows or Super Turbos)

An ultra-flow will definately be louder on a V8... hopefully the same goes for a V6. Stay away from a cherry bomb and similar cheaply-made "loud-only" mufflers.

you've probably seen me post this before, but i will post it again. its a hooker aero-chamber on a custom 2.5" exhuast setup. i am still running a STOCK cat and it exits out to 2.5" tips. i personally love the sound. its not loud in the car and sounds great when you are behind it. sounds like it may be what you are looking for...

and yea, the intake does matter, my custom cold air intake definately dropped my exhaust note....
