Twin Turbo a 3.4

Ok so here's the deal, i'm pulling out the old beat 2.8, and puttin' in a new 3.4, i'm having the new one all rebuilt to support some pressure. I'm looking to put in TT on it, the turbos aren't really a problem, i'm concereneda bout the exhaust and what not. I'm tyring to be original since i'm a student gas is always an issue and a v8 would def be a bad idea, emessions and stuffa ren't really a problem my buddy works at the IM place. Any thoughts or ideas?

YEa, good luck. Some guys on here are working on a single turbo set up. I really dont think there is enough room under the hood to do a twin turbo set up, but I could be wrong.
The exhaust sytem alone is going to be a bitch.
If you are in an area that checks emissions I would worry about it because your friend might not work there forever.
Then again if your so worrieed about gas where is the money for the Twin Turbos going to come from.
a V6 twein turbo will eat a lot more gas than a Natuarally Aspirated 350 will.

Good luck and tell us a little more about your plan.
Welcome to the board.

I forget who he is, but someone on this board is driving a twin turbo 350... I -believe- it's Jester... talk to him about doing it.. if you can do it with a 8, you sure as hell can do it with a freakin 6...

just hop the 3.4 up to the max in NA form. You should get close to 200 hp, plus some nice gears and it will move pretty good. The turbo is going to be a PITA.

If you know what you are doing believe it or not the setup is very easy. Now keeping your car to where the turbo/turbos doesnt destroy it...well that is a different story. Get some books and read up on it. Thats all you can do.

DO SOME RESEARCH ON NEWER GM CARS THAT COME WITH THE 3.1 or 3.4

I SAW ONE, A 3.1 I BELIEVE THAT PUMPS OUT 175 HP STOCK!!!!!!

NOW, I KNOW YOU CAN NOT USE THE HEADS, BUT FIND OUT WHAT IS SO DIFFERENT AND TRY TO REPLICATE IT TO YOUR ENGINE

I AM TORN BETWEEN WHETHER I WANT TO PUT A WORKED 3.4 INTO MY 1991 RS OR CONVERT TO A CARBED 350

I'M PROBABLY GETTING A 1991/1992ish VETTE SO THIS IS WHAT IS KEEPING ME IN LIMBO

SO A WORKED 3.4 KINDA SOUNDS COOL AGAIN

DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!!!!
