v6 ecm

v6 ecm

Does anyone know if an ecm from a v6 86 camaro will work on a 90 v6 firebird. I know i would have to switch the proms if they are the same ecm

I forgot to put this in my original post. The 90 firebird is a 3.1. It uses Map and has vats. The 86 is a 2.8. No vats of course and used Mass Airflow. I'm not even sure the wiring harness' will plug in. I haven't ripped either one out yet.

well 90-92 used speed density
as where 85-89 used MAF

so i'd say no

can't you buy a new ECM from summit or someplace for not to bad of a price ??? Anybody know?
