power steering pump

my power steering pump is on it's way out. it figures. i'm buying an 85 Trans Am on tuesday, just found some chick to buy my camaro for a grand, and now the power steering pump is going. my question is, would the added load of a bad PS pump cause the engine to vibrate at 1800-2300 rpms? i can feel it through the gas pedal and the floor, and i don't like it. please tell me it's the power steering pump and not something internal

I have been through so many ps pumps on my car .I have never had one make the car vibrate like that .Maybe the bracket the pump is on is broke .But I still dont think that would make it vibrate that bad .
