roller rockers

which are best to use??? 1.52 or 1.6???
i heard the 1.6 may hit the valve covers, but i am thinking if i put 2 gaskets on instead of one i would some extra clearance............what are the part numbers for these and where can i find them??

if i wanted to install these, i would need to take off the intake manifold
so where would i find new gaskets???

also, how do i put them on???
i have a fairly good idea of how it is done, but i am not completey sure

how do i set the valve lash on them???

i think you swap them like this:
unbolt the old ones (one at a time)
remove it

put the new one on

then set the valve lash

any help would be appreciated

You can also "jiggle" the pushrod up and down; when you can't wiggle the pushrod up and down anymore, you're at zero lash. My idea of a pushrod being "harder to turn" might be different than yours. When you give the rocker nut the extra 90 degree turn, that sets the preload, from zero lash. What that means is the extra 90 degree turn puts the plungers in the lifters at a "mid" point. That plunger is what makes hydraulic lifters self-adjusting, so by putting the plunger in the middle, you get a good "range" of adjustability.

Oh, the procedure for valve lash is in the Haynes book. You need to spin the crank a few times to get certain valves closed; then you adjust their lash (0 lash w/preload), then you rotate the crank 180 degrees and set the other valves.
