A Thanksgiving Receipe!

Hi All and Happy Holidays.
Your receipe comes from the 1990 edition of the Chevy Raceshop Baretta that paced the Indy 500.
They had to modify a 1990 V-6 60* engine to up to 245 HP to lead the race & escape down pit row.
So their RPMS were WAY UP THERE.
Remember that detail.
An Aluminum 3.1 block, enlarged to 92mm bore & 84mm stroke (or 3.4!)
Used the aluminum SPLAYED VALVE (FWD ONLY VERSION!!!) heads ported & polished, fitted with CUSTOM MADE Falconer Rocker studs & Isky solid lifters, 110 lb springs, roller rockers by Crane.
Isky .562 lift cam 88* overlap camshaft.
10.5 to 1 compression CAST ALUMINUM pistons
Extra hard cast iron cross drilled crankshaft
Melling oil pump
Here's the best part for us, as we can duplicate this part.
A Modified production manifold was utilized with LARGER RUNNERS fitted for HIGH RPM POWER (one exits into the pits-before the green flag drops, at about 120 MPH or so) similar to that used on the Corvette L-98 & mates to a production Corvette L-98 throttle body with heating system removed (TB block off).
Fuel rails were made from Aeroquip fittings, while hi capiticy injectors (Buick turbo V-6 stock).
Exhaust is made from 1 5/8" diameter headers, 24" long, w/a 31" collector, exiting into a SINGLE 3" pipe out the drivers door.
Specs
HP 245 @ 6800RPM (can you say ZOOM!!)
Torque is 220 ft lbs 4500RPM
FWD axle ratio is 3:43
1/4 time is 13.8
0-60 MPH is 5.8

What is really said, ya can hot rod this V-6 60* powerplant.
BUT some of these tricks ONLY benfit ya where ya don't drive (when did you last shift at 6800 RPMS?).
Enjoy your holiday!
