i was thinking of putting ram air on my 2.8. How hard would that be and would it be a good idea? What are some other options? Ive seen k&N airfilters or for the 305 and the 350 and seen somewhere they made for the 2.8 also but not sure if the do. How well do those help?

You can use the part number of air filter to cross reference the K&N part number at their website. The ram air is kinda nice. You will see a better response in the pedal, But you wont see a major diference until you around 2500 to 3000 RPMS. Once it kicks in it's a lot of fun. just whatch your RPMS they will build up much faster then before.

 

I have it on my 88 rs 2.8 and love it ! I didnt even do any tubing or pipes or ac ducting with it .If you have the same grill as I do , the grill with the louvers that point upward , well those louvers are pushing the air up to your filters , so instant ramair .Wayne

 

there is also a black piece of plastic you have to take off , under the filter boxes , well i just ripped mine off and broke it in half taking it off .Wayne
