Please help!! I'm making progress, but I need some advice

hey everyone, ive been working with my 86 SC for about a month now, and it runs a helluva lot better than it did when i bought it, but now im gonna start on some of the bigger things, not just tuning up the engine, and getting all the locks to work, and stuff like that...my first ideas are:

new struts and shocks, probably KYB
exhaust, Dynomax UltraFlow kit
rims of some sort, just cuz mine are stock, rusted, and generally crappy looking

any ideas on what else to go after before i start replacing engine parts...im not looking to be super fast, but i want a little bit of kick...oh yeah, i have to replace the tranny mount too, anything else i might need to look at while im in that area?

Hmm. struts and shocks easy self doer replacement. Maybe springs in the future. after the springs sway bars(I have Iroc and it made a world of difference). As far as go fast stuff, theres not alot out there YET. I am working on getting headers available by reproducing them. The Dynomax is the best cat back for the V6. I would not suggest NOS unless you know the internals of the engine are in good shape. Polish the upper and middle intake(I felt a difference with that) Maybe injectors after a while step up to 19-22Lb'ers. of course the CAI(Cold Air Induction) and Ram air. Many a design on the boards, do a search. The K&N replacement filters. No real noticable power gains but the engine likes em. theres the comp cam 2030, lots of people like it that have it. Step up to roller rockers, 1.52 or 1.6 ratio's.
As far as Supercharger kits, nope. F A G eol used to make them if they still do I don't know but they are way over priced and you have to convert to carb set up. I am also working on a mini ram intake, and turbo set up for the 60 degree motor. They will be awhile though as I do not have the $$$ for it right now. I am also gonna see about making a 3" mandrel bent intake tube to use as a CAI.

Did you cover everything with your tuneup? Check out my message on a "major tuneup" to make sure: https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/002983.html

There's another bushing by the trans mount... the torque arm bushing. Replacing the factory rubber with an Energy Suspension polyurethane one took the "wiggle" out the rear of my car around turns, and the car felt sturdier going straight. Visit http://www.energysuspension.com for details on which torque arm bushing to get (you have to look at your car's torque arm).

You'll see that with any aftermarket website; find prices through http://www.summitracing.com (do an advanced parts search). Note for ES's parts, most have color codes... you won't find an ENS-3-1108 at Summit, but you will find an ENS-3-1108G (graphite=black), an 1108B (blue), Y=yellow, R=red...

At ES's site, click on the "entire catalog", click on "chevy-camaro", then, at the top, click on "page 2 of chevy camaro".

if your in the trans area changing the mount freshen up the trans with a b&m shift kit and filter change.get some new u joints in the drive shaft. then get a blue racer cam from jc whitney. has more lift than compu cam does. then get a cloyes double roller timing chain. get comp cams 1.6 roller rockers. get the intake ported and polished and get some good grippy tires. maybe in time get some 3:73 or 4:10 gears.
