How does that 'cold air intake' work that yall set up? How is it different from the stock way, besides looks? Is the way it's mounted how the 'cold' air comes in?
I don't know if I asked these so that yall know what I'm asking, but try to answer please!

Cool, that's a bitchin' compare between the two systems... you can see the lack of MAF sensor in the top photo, and it's appearance in BrianK's car...

i can't see brianK's setup....wish i could. don't know why the picture didn't show up.
how does "mine" work. well basically you are 1) taking all the narrow kinks and bends out of the factury ducting. and 2) updgrading to a 3" wide tube so the air flows MUCH MUCH easier. it practically shoot right into the TB.
and 3) its stuck as close to the fender wall as possible to get farther away from the engine as to get the coolest air possible. my next step, which i got from KED85 and TomP is to enclose it on all sides except the bottom to block off even more engine heat that may be getting in there. overall its a huge increase over stock. you can hear the air being sucked in at idle, and gulped when you hit the trottle. so basically i am getting the coolest air possible near the coolant resivoir, which is most likely coming from the fender area.
i don't know too much about maf's so i wish i could see briank's pics....but hope that helps

hey Brian K,
You mentioned in a post about a year ago for someone to do a RAM Cold Air. Could this be done and how would you do it?
