I dunno dude. The 3.4 used DIS which is mounted on the driver side of the engine. Because of this, it meant that there were 3 LONG wires and 3 SHORT wires.

With our motors, it's really hard to say wheather or not those 3 SHORT wires would be long enough.....shrug

Wayne, by opeing the box you obtain from the vendor, you should know immediatly, if the plug wires will work.
BUT Wayne, IF YOUR RIDE IS UNDER WARRANTY, why are you doing this?

Ok , I just got back from the shop .There is no detonation . well they didnt hear any noise .The cracked plug is just commen the mechanic said " we see those on bosh and delcos, its commen . So Im not worried about that . My wires look rather ghetofied right now , but hey it works ! I have one grey 8mm wire hooked up on one side with wire connectors keeping it away from the heat .The reason I did not take it to the shop at first is b/c I was scard it was going to be something not under warranty WHICH IT WAS .My fuel injectors need to be cleaned .They had to put my car on the computer though and they not only found that they found the idle needed adjusting and something to do with the TBS cable . All this total well be $275 , BUT im just thinking hey , just go back wed and pay the $60 computer test charge and slap some 17 pd inejectors in that puppy on my Chirstmas break .Is it hard to install injectors guys ? I mean if its cheaper I might as well just put some new ones in myself , if i can do it . So even though that sparkplug was cracked and a wired craked that was not causing it to miss slightly , it was the idle and tbs ...The other noise that might still be detonation , IM NOT worried about cus I know the owner real well and Im sure even if the car is 1000 miles out of warranty he would have it fixed ....Wayne .

I think Im just ganna keep the injectors I have and get them cleaned . I did some research and I will see a nice gain in power from this . I mean i have to cus they have 180k miles on them and have never been cleaned . I learned that the 17 pound ones may not run with the computer unless i get a chip burned which i dont want to do and really wont be necessary unless i have my heads and intake ported and polished .
Wayne ....well have to tell you how it comes out after i get em cleaned wed

Hey Buddy,
Keep us posted.
Cleaning injectors, is easy, if left on the car.
I would suggest you speak to the manager of the store or even his supervisor!
That's such BS the won't take them back. Tell them you were told by their employees those plug wires would fit!

tke the wires back to the store you got them from, ask to talk to the manager, if no joy, ask for region phone number. If they value you as a customer, they should be concerned about customer satisfaction.

As far as the insulator being cracked a "common happening", that shop is d*cking you around. especially all the crap you've been through recently.

Karl I have not told the rest , ya'll are not ganna belive this .I asked the manager in the store if they were the right ones ? he said "yeah , i think they are " Then I said , well do you know for sure "no let me check " He checked on the computer , I saw the anushole "yeah thats them" .So I went home tried to put them on , they did not work .I did not have time to mess with the car anymore that day , so I just put my old wires back on that .So a few days later I walk in .The same damn guy , THE MANAGER , that told me they were right and sold them to me would not take them back . I said , "well ya'l told me they fit , " he said well they were on the car .I didn't get ugly , I didn't get mad .Maybe I should have but I just walked out of there mad as hell ! This was a few months ago , so its prabably too late to do anything . I just don't go back to that store .I'll never step foot in their again ! Wayne

They wont SNAP on the distributor? They shouldnt snap, just push them in and thats it... you shouldnt hear any noises. Those ARE the correct wires, so...?

Graeme , I just tried putting it on again , the crimp is to small to go on the distributor . I have an old distributor cap that my grandpa had .It's one of those where you stick the crimp Inside the slot and it fit like a glove in there . wierd

Wayne, call and ask for the regional store manager.
I think that jerk needs a few words from a superior!
And then, maybe you'll find a job there!!!

Yeah, they sold you the early socket-style type of wire... can you bring 'em back to another store? Spray some windex on a rag and clean off any major dirt...

The Accel 8.8 Custom Fit Performance Wire Set #8879 that I installed were on a '91 Camaro RS 3.1l. I bought them from http://www.summitracing.com for about $40 (Part#ACC-8879) and was happy with their service. I'm not sure they work any better than my old crappy ones because I also changed plugs, dist.cap, ign.coil at the same time. Overall I think they're really nice wires though, I admit, I don't have much experience to base this opion on.

Do what i have been forced into doing put the plugs back in the box make it look all nice and pretty... You still have the recipt right? Go to another store same store name you bought them at just one in a different location go in and say ya i bought theses a week or 2 ago how ever long ago it was and say i opend the box and went to put them on and they didnt fit you tried to put one on. They should return them say the boot for the dist isnt the right type and youwent out and bought a correct set allready and you wont be needing them. If they ask well why didn t you return them were you bought them say you were on your way home from work and there store is on your way home or make some excuse up. Should work ive done it before. Just make sure the manager does not work at the same store i ran into that problem so i went to the next store they had farther away and returned them.
If any thing i bet the manager jsut dosent want to admit he ****ed up.

Didnt realize 2 peoiple allready said take em back to another store oh well
