what might be the problem???
my brother has a 1990 RS w/3.1 v6, auto trans. the car has 210,000 miles and has never been rebuilt. The other morning he was traveling down hill on the interstate at 70+ mph when his rpm's dropped, his speedometer went to zero, his INFL REST. (air bag) light came on, and his check engine light came on. He could not get the car to accelerate until he got to the bottom of the hill. His speedometer still didn't work and he had to "kick-it" to get any acceleration out of it on the way home. Now the car misses at idle, the check engine light is still on and the speedometer still doesn't work. The INFL. REST. light is not on now. Where should we start??
well that could be something with the fuel injectors they might need to be cleaned. I had a buick that used to do that but it doesnt explain why the speedometer dropped. and does it always miss or just at idle. I know when i blew my headgasket on my 2.8 it missed like crazy......but I was also only running 5 cylinders haha.

Definitely find out what the code is. If you don't know how to check codes, I think it should be in the FAQ section.
