weird vibration
whenever i am driving along and give my car a little gas, just enough to put a load on the engine, i get a vibration i can feel through the floor and gas pedal. it happens around 1700-2200 rpms, the worst at around 1800. anyone have any ideas?
Do you have a automatic or manual transmission?
I have found the bolts holding the converter to the flywheel loose before and had the same symptoms.
Just a thought.

its an auto tranny. if it was loose bolts, would that cause permanent damage if i was too lazy to take out the tranny to tighten them?
I did not have to take the transmission out of the car.
I jacked it up and removed the inspection plate and tightened one bolt at a time, turning the flywheel as I needed.
