I'm pretty sure that ac was standard by then. Don't think there would have been a setup for a 3.1 without AC, but you might be able to find a setup for a 2.8 serpentine that didn't include it

Its ok my engine belt is serptine but ac runs off a seprate v belt set up. Not serptine like most v6s and v8 here on the board !!!
Anybody else on here with the wynns\frosttemp ac set up ?

Re: v6 3.1 engine bracket set up pics
That A/C setup is aftermarket, and there is only one other guy on here who either has or used to have one similar, that was supposedly installed by Sears years ago. If you have a v-belt driving the compressor, then all of the old brackets and what not should be installed the same way as they came off of the old engine and the belt should work. I find it unlikely that the compressor would work on the factory brackets, and for that reason, the belt isn't going to work. You may need to have measurements taken to get a new belt if the compressor does fit the factory bracket, but then the belt probably isn't going to line up properly.
