quick vaccum question in inches?

I think i fixed the only vaccum leak i had and I am recording from 11.5 to 12 inches of Hg vaccum. Before i fixed the leak i was measureing 9.5-10 inches

This car has a delta 260 re-grind cam, ported/polished heads, and ported upper, mid, lower intakes.

Is this 10.5-11 inches ok? IIRC 14-18 inches is what a stock 3.1L or 2.8L will pull.

Re: quick vaccum question in inches?

forget this post i jsut messed up the conversion with my meter. I forgot KPA is adverse from inches of Hg vac. 100kpa=0 inches of vac 0kpa=19.5 inches of vac.

That statements correct right?? If so i got 19.2 inches of vac at idle when engine is up to temp.

Does those ##'s, the 19.2 look better? I also live about 600 Ft above sea level.

Re: quick vaccum question in inches?

wow 6"!!!! The reason i converted mine wrong is becasuse i was converting is without useing absolute pressure..14.7psi so it was like 10" when I was converting it wrong

Mine was 21" IIRC stock. But i live at almost sea level. now 19" so the cam didnt mess up the vac too bad, but it is just a little mild cam.
