87 Camero die's when warm
87 Camero die's when warm
Hello everyone, I'm new hear, but I have a question. I have an 87 Camero, lets say its be a lot of trouble for me. In the last 8 months I have had to change out the altanader, power steering pump, water pump, starter and battery... now I have a new problem and I can't figure out what it wrong. I can start my car and drive just fine till it warms up, sometimes 10 minutes others 30 minutes then it just dies. It started die'ing if I stopped without keeping the gas pushed a bit, now it just stops? I can't think of what is making it happen, the fan works, and its a new water pump, it's not over heating, but as soon as its warm it stops. Any ideas on what I need to fix? Please help and Thanks alot. (sorry my spelling is crap)

Re: 87 Camero die's when warm
My car did that same thing, stated only once in a while, then got to be every day.. It had a few internally shorted out fuel injectors that were causing it to die after it warmed up. That would be the first thing I'd check just based on my personal experience.
How to check injectors for shorts and whatnot has been posted several times so the info should't be too hard to search for.
