92 RS 3.1L Injector Life
How long do the factory original injectors usually last? I am at about 250,000 miles. My original factory engine consistently got 35mpg on the freeway until it blew a rod at 135,000. The replacement crate engine consistently got 27mpg freeway until recently when it fell off to about 20mpg freeway in the course of about a month.. It has a new distributor, plugs, plug wires, coil, O2 sensor, exhaust from cat on back, fuel filter, air filter, usual tuneup stuff.. It recently threw a code 35 but hasn't thrown that or any other code in several weeks.. It does run a bit rough and I can feel a miss on acceleration.. So, I am thinking that it could be an injector, fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump problem. These are all the factory originals... Hence my question about injector life... Other than an ohm check, any other good way to test the injectors?
Thanks.....
Thanks.....

Code 35 is an IAC error. Basically it is from the ECM being unable to properly control the idle speed. So, it can be caused by other issues then a bad IAC. However, it never hurts to clean the TB, blade and IAC from varnish and carbon.
