Re: v6 idle
Also look for a vaccum leak!! Spray carb cleaner all arround the vaccum lines and look to see if there all hooked up, also spray arround the intake manifold gaskets, and listen for the idle to change as your spraying the carb cleaner.
Have you reset the ecm latley, by unhooking the battery?? I see your cars a automatic so there is a relearn after you reset the ecm.
From my experience with a bad IAC sensor, my car would idle weird and then it would stall when i stoped.
And when I have a vaccum line off, the idle is high. I think its because the car is trying to compinsate for the lost vaccum at idle.
Thats just a few thoughts though, as im no mechanic

Re: v6 idle
You know where the IAC(idle air control) sensor is on the car?? Its on the passenger side of the throttle body, mabey carfully take it out and clean it up with some cleaner. It tends to get all gunked up from the EGR passage/valve. So the spring sticks on the IAC and slams shut sometimes when its either bad or dirty. When it slams shut, is when your usually coming to a stop and it wants to stall or run weird.

Re: v6 idle
Check the vac on the back on the manifold and see how many inches of Hg its pulling. If you dont have sufficent vaccum then you car will give you problems. Look for 18-22 inches of vac IIRC. You could have vac leaks that you don't know you have.

Re: v6 idle
Does it idle at 2500rpms even after its warmed up?? Did anyone ever mess with the ecm or the TPS controls?

Re: v6 idle
What engine you got in there? 2.8 or 3.1L I take it. I donno man, check the IAC and see if its dirty. And also is it spitting out any codes? Im not sure if the bin files on a Corsica are the same as on a Camaro Bin.

Re: v6 idle
That could definitly do it! If you can get a vac guage and check the vaccum at idle through one of the rear ports on the intake manifold. That will tell you if you have a vac leak. Do this before you start chasing your tail looking for a problem. Or did you mean exhaust manifold leak???
Ive had ex manifolds leaks before and never had idle problems, it just sounded like crap. And if you leave it leak so long it might start to burn up wires or anything elses arround the leak.

Re: v6 idle
I guess it could but if the o2 sensor was bad it would be rich as crap all the time.
And if you had a leak before the o2 sensor it would be lean as crap, which I guess would make it idle higher but not @ 2500rpms like your dealing with.
