Compression ratio

I did a calculation on a dished piston with a 3.140 inch dia. / .270 inch deep dish and came up with 34 cc's.I also did one with a online calculator and came up with a different figure.Anyone want to give it a try ?

Re: Compression ratio

Well, it did come out as 33.974 cc's or something along those lines when I did it. But, the thing is, that dish is rather excessive for anything not actually using the top of the piston as the combustion chamber. Unless you're using a power adder from something like an Allison V-1710 turbocharged V12 (or was it supercharged? I forgot )...

Re: Compression ratio

That's what I got, just rounded it off. I'm building a turbo 3.4 / 3400 and wanted to calculate my compression ratio as accurately as possible.I found the 3400 heads listed with a 28.6 cc combustion chamber and the stock 3400 pistons with 28.6 cc dish, which I thought might be a misprint. My calculations with the after market 34 cc pistons give appox. 9:1 ratio depending on which head gasket and overbore, which is good for my purposes. Thanks.
