Procharged V6
Instead of turbocharging or trying to find super chargers for a 60* v6 why not just adapt a v8 procharger. I have been thinking about it and there are no threads on it. It be alot simpler than a turbocharged setup because you wont have to run exhaust pipes and if you get a self contained one you don't have to run oil lines. All you have to do is some tuning and plumbing.

Re: Procharged V6
most ppl here dont have the fab skills needed to adapt the procharger onto the v6 ( making the bracket)
ive toyed with the idea but a used headunit is anywere from 600-1000 bucks
in my opinion a v6 with a p600b headunit would be alot of fun
though here is one on ebay right now for 500 with bracket intercooler and piping
looks like the bracket could even be modified to work on the v6 pretty easy

Re: Procharged V6
so would you be able to use a crank pulley from a sbc kit and bolt it onto the crank pulley. The bracket might not be that hard for me because I could use my school's mill to make one.

im not sure on the sbc pulley ive never compared it to the v6 pully
but the p600b should have a standard serpintine pulley on it so should just be able to use the stock v6 pulley, with a custom belt

Re: Procharged V6
Well mine is a v-belt system so a serpentine would not work and would be a pain to get all the stuff for it. Thing that has me thinking the most is were to put it. I was thinking putting under the alternator and making a custom bracket for the altenator and charger together or moving the alternator to the other side.

I'm not well read on prochargers, but I've heard that you can adjust boost levels by having different size pulleys. Since you're going to be tuning it I would think this would be a good idea. Running it on a seperate belt with a pulley that bolts to the crank, or where ever they bolt them up to.
