intake question
there are a few people out there that say its no big deal to put your air filter directly on your throttle body.. but when you do that you pass up your MAF.. i custom made one so i kept my MAF is there any difference in power by just attaching your filter to your throttle body??

Re: intake question
since u have a maf car u must keep the maf sensor hooked up.
most ppl who put the filter directly on the tb have a speed density ecm ( map sensor instead of a maf)
if u put utr filter directly on the throttlebody ur car will not run right

Re: intake question
Putting the air filter directly on the TB will also keep sucking in the heat from under the hood(little to no HP gain at all). The best way to add some HP is to route it so that you are sucking fresh air in from outside the engine bay. Cool air induction of somesort.
Can anyone confirm that a dual snorkle intake will not work on a firebird? Because I don't think it will(there is metal under where the intake would route the openings) If it does though, correct me and that is the best intake set up in my opinion to add a few extra HP and a little under the hood styling.
