Oil sending unit wiring.

Car: 89' Camaro RS
Engine: 2.8 MPFI
Transmission: borg warner 5 speed
Axle/Gears: stock
Oil sending unit wiring.
Do any of you other V6 guys out there know what the wiring pattern is for the oil sending units on a MPFI 2.8? I have long sense been having issues with my oil gauge being wildly inaccurate. My best guess is that at some point the harness cought on fire so it was replaced with an aftermarket 3 wire connector that has all tan wires. I have tried every combination of wiring I can think of and it is either pegged at 80, over 80, or well below zero. Could be the gauge, the sending unit it's self is new. Any help here is appreciated.
