2.8 Carb to MPFI
Thinking about swapping out my '83 2.8 carb to an '87 MPFI.
Is there really any noticeable difference in throttle response/Speed etc?
I heard the '87s had stronger cranks in them etc. so I was planning to swap and modding a little bit and not risking the weaker 2.8
Anyone ever done one before?

Re: 2.8 Carb to MPFI
i rpelied to ur post in the engine swap forum , but yes if ur going to do any mods the later fuel injected engines make more power and are much stronger in regards to the crank
if u can get everything u need to do the swap from say a donar car its not a hard swap to do to go from carbed to fuel injection, but u can always get the better motor 2.8/3.1/3.4 and use ur carb and intake off the motor u have now
which would be the simplest way to get mor epower and a more reliable engine
