I need your opinions
Me and my dad just just finished with putting a rebuilt 3.1 in my Camaro and it is only running on four cylinders. At first we thought it was the timing but it was spot on. We took out the spark plugs and two of them did not have any build up on them like the rest. We are thinking that the injectors possibly got plugged up or don't work even though we got them tested and checked out good. I need your opinion on what you think it is.

Check the connectors to the relevant injectors to make sure they are plugged in and secured correctly. Maybe check with a noid light.

Re: I need your opinions
I would think that the only thing that could keep the spark plugs completely clean (I'm assuming they're new plugs) is not getting any fuel. If you've got fuel but no spark, they'll be wet, at least. valve adjustments or timing issues or things of that nature, it should run, and fire on those cylinders...maybe not run well but, it'll run. Double check the injectors, connectors, and the fuel rail make sure you can't see anything wrong with them.

Re: I need your opinions
Check for melted wires or shorts In the injector connection. Otherwise it might be something internal.
Did your dad do the rebuild? If not is it under warranty?
Any ses codes? If so what are they? Possible ecm malfunction / memcal problem.
But as stated before if gas was getting in the plugs would be wet.

Re: I need your opinions
Sorry for the wait, but it turned out that two of the injectors we got back were all clogged up so those two were not putting any fuel in. We took the 2.8 injectors back to the guy and explained what happened and he did them for free. Woohoo. All i have left to do to get this thing up and running is to hook the rear pipe up (because it is deafening without it) and the fuel pump hooked back up. Thanks to all that responded. You were very helpful.
