V6 Questions
So I recently bought a 91 Camaro RS with a 3.1L V6. 58,210 original miles. I absolutely love the car and all, I've been lurking around ThirdGen long before I got my car and I've researched alot on my car, but yet I'm still confused about some things and I hope you guys could help clear some of it up. I apologize in advance for some lack of knowledge as I'm fairly new to cars.
I'm currently looking for a new exhaust system, or at least something along those lines. Although I do like the sound it has right now, I'm looking for something that is going to grab some attention.
Just looking for some advice, thanks!

Re: V6 Questions
Heres a sound clip of a magnaflow high flow cat converter and a dynomax muffler. Just replacements here put in the original piping, not a cat back system. I will confidently say that flowmaster mufflers exspecially the 40 series ones do NOT sound good IMO on our V6's as I had one in the past on my car. Did not like it one bit.
Its got a cam so thats why it has a choppy idle.
Beautiful car and under 60K miles is awsome. Nice ride man!!!
Welcome to Thirdgen!!!

Re: V6 Questions
my muffer and cat. converter cost 200 bucks and thats for every clamp and such to make it work including those lil fake crome tips I have on there.
Shop arround and if you do the work yourself its pretty cheep as you dont really need the hi flow cat. I just got it because I though it would make it faster at the time...lol

I've had a dynomax catback for years and am really happy with it. its got a nice tone to it, add headers and its even better. good price on summit too.

Re: V6 Questions
I have Flowmasters on my 2.8 40 series I think not sure. It sounds good at idle and has a pretty decent sound overall just at higher rpm it gets raspy and looses the deep tone.
