Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

I'm thinking of testing one out on my Fiero.

Thinking this on a 3500V6.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/new-GT30-...-/181048034471

56.6mm turbo, T3 exhaust.

Should work alright I suppose, low boost non-intercooled.

Anyone else know of any CHEAP CHEAP ebay turbos ?

This is more of a test. I know all about "you get what you pay for", I have owned 2 other turbos and they never gave me a lick of trouble, both Garretts. It would just be funny if I can get 40,000 miles on a 160$ turbo. haha. Anyone try these turbos ?

I've done some googling and it would appear a TON of people have had good results.

Comments ?

I'm curious honestly as well on this and how well they would work as I know of some cheap beaters that would be quite interesting with a setup if they work and work ok that is

fasteddi and I bought the gt3582r, he had his running just before the white sh*t dropped. mine is still in the box. not sure you would want to pay all that shipping though.

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

to smal mars 52mm/62.5 mm exducer the first turbo fasteddi ran maxed out at around 16 psi on the iron headed 3.1 and that turbo was 57/72mm

for a relativly low powerd setup 350 hp that turbo would be great and is 118$ shipped

the next step up would be the 52/76mm t3/t4 hybrid with the 3 inch compressor cover

after that u have the gt3076 which i run a pair on my iroc 57/76mm 139$ shipped

and last but not least the best bang for the buck for a 3500 prolly is the 250$ 61/82mm gt3582

and if u think u could spool it the ebay gt45 turbo 70/106mm 83mm turbine and t4 1.05 ex housing for 299 shipped but the gt45 is a big *** turbo

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

I had a 118 dollar one and it was pretty good.

Now im on the Gt3582 godspeed one. It was 275 bucks to the door. Im not sure on how low of a price your looking for but dave linked some good stuff for the price.

Small one was the cheepest one. Got me into the low/mid 13's pretty easy. Then the other is the godspeed one.

Cheep one But the price went up a few bucks. I believe this is the correct one I had.

The godspeed one that me and 34blazer have.

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

GT 45 is WAY WAY too big.

The cheapest I can find that GT35 one is here, this is a 61/82mm, like the ones you guys posted up: Would be 325$ to my door.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GT35-Turbo-C...sories&vxp=mtr

I kind of think it's a little large. I want very little lag. This one here got my interest as well it is a little smaller. Looks like a 3", 2" discharge inlet compressor with a 57/75mm wheel. : $330 to my door. It's sized VERY similar to a GT3076 by the looks of it.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/T3-T3-60-1-UN...1552c4&vxp=mtr

My ideal turbo would be a GT3076, but I can't seem to find cheap ones.

I want a 4 bolt disharge flange (not the 5 bolt) with T3 inlet I already flanges that's why. and i don't want a built in W/G cause there will be no room for that arrangement.

Where did you get your 3076 ???

the gt3076's i got only come in 5 bolt turbines and i dont know of any others with 4 bolt turbines on ebay i belive the seller is ilovetaco or something close to that when i get back home i can look in my ebay history.

the only thing is the seller does not know his stock i got 2 57/76mm turbos from him and fast ordered from the same seller and got a 57/72mm unit

watch fasteddis turbo video with the gt3582 it spools up dam fast with only 3.1L with 3.5L i bet u it would be damn near perfect

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

The boost is pretty agressive on this turbo. Not laggy at all.

Why cant you get a gt3582 like me and blazer have for 275 shipped to your door? Does it cost more to ship it to canada?? Ive never really looked into what it cost to ship across the border.

The turbo I have is a 4 bolt 3 inch exhaust discharge.

4 inch intake charge. 2 1/2 inch discharge air.

he was also part throttle it will spool up much sooner if u go wot from a dead stop

my 60-1 spools up instantly from a roll and barley any lag from a dead stop let me see if i can find a video

turbo made 2 psi at about 2,900 in his video the gauges/datalog is a split second earlier then the video, by 3,500 its making alot of boost to hard to see the number

heres the video of mine keep in mind my 60-1 has a larger turbine wheel and housing then a gt3582, i had a t3 .84 housing on mine, any smaller would have resulted in uncontrollable wheel spin

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

It spools faster, I just never could floor it from a slow cost or stop because of the crappy open rear end.

This may show it better. This was the first time I ever made boost with the new turbo.

Shipping to Canada hurts the bank. I've ordered many parts from the States, and it usually ends up costing at least $100 or more ontop of the part cost. Shipping cost is more, then you have to pay Taxes plus Duty fees, Brokerage fees etc.

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

Do any of you guys know of a decent BOV for cheap ?? ( I DON;'T want anything with an alum. flange cause I'm not equipped to weld alum.)

I know I'm getting another 38mm EMUSA wastegate (cause I'm using 2 of these on my Camaro and they are very nice for only 60$) I am using the 2 bolt flange type. They are damn good pieces for the price. adjustable from 4 to 10 psi

So, gt35 it is.. I'll order one up soon and get to installing everything.

I was cleaning out my garage and found all kinds of stuff so figured WTF, lets turbo this car, lol.

42# injectros, 2 bar map (I will run the 8F turbo grand prix code mask), T3 flanges (inlet and disharge, gaskets) I have all kinds of mandrel bends and siliocne couplers. My oil pan already has a #10 drain fitting, oil lines for feed and drain, I figured out a hotside using Stock FWD 3100V6 manifolds.

If at all possible have the shipper use the United States Postal Service (USPS). That eliminates the brokerage fees that UPS/Fed-x charges. You'll only have to pay the Canadian taxes.

When we ship outside of the US we use either Priority Mail or Express Mail International via USPS. Both have tracking and the delivery times are good.

NO!!!!!!

-3 feed is best -4 is fine
do a -3 with no restrictor

the gt35 is a journal bearing turbo even with a -4 it shouldnt need a restictor unless u have really high oil presure

I like the built in waste gate, less stuff to buy, less room, I just have to pull the trigger on it, would be an all stock build, no changes except bolting on a turbo.

could of used it last night, I know I could of pulled away from the maroon but throughly leaving them behind is better........

u guys are close if fast still has his under k ypipe see if he will sell it to ya ,
if u use that turbo u will need atleast some larger injectors, afpr and a tune ,though by being a 2.8 car u can get away with about 7-12 psi with the stock heads and cam on it

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

Im really not gonna do allot, no way I could change the stock Y pipe, whole engine would need pulled to drill out those studs. Id like to treat it like putting on a fagoel blower, no changes over stock cept maybe a timing bump to see what it can do as is.

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

Thats a pretty slick set up.

If you wana see how little lag there is on my turbo (GT3582) just open this up in excel after you unzip the file. I still can get a lick of traction on the street but damm thing has almost instant boost when I go WOT.

This logg is way to rich though, so there is no point in telling me that. And for some reason when I shift manually I feel the need to shift at 6400 or so rpms...lol hope that doesnt catch up with me. Hense why its so rich at that point(I never tuned it much for that area).

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

I just know it shifts hard from 2nd to 3rd when its reving 6300 or so. Seems to pull harder the higher I go. It still drops RPM's when shifting so the trans is doing ok for now i suppose. Good enough considering I cant afford the TH swap yet.

It definitly needs tuned better though, as I know im leaving alot on the table at this point.

Nice turbo lag though dont you think dave?? Much better then the last engine/turbo set up.

supose to be some new ign upgrade mod letting him pull to 7000

mine likes to pull to 6000 and beyond as is, doesn't stop asking for more RPM.

it will prolly make power till around 67-6,900 with that gt3582 and 260 cam
the gears are masking the converter issues for now since its taken some load off the engine

Re: Cheap Ebay turbos for the V6...

Ahhh, well this is no longer going to be an ebay build...

Found a used precision billet 5858 for sale locally and picked it up for cheaper then an ebay unit.

I has a .63 T3 turbine, and the E compressor - 3"in/2"out

Not quite as large as a GT35, but at 58mm, it will hopefully spool nice and quick.

Build thread imminent.
