well ive been reading on the forum for months now, so i figured it was time to become a member and make a post . I bought good old blue for $400.00 bucks last year from the neighbor lady next door she was movin and could not take the car with her , it been her moms car yet she had pasted away from cancer. the car had been sitting for about two years and realy had never been driven much but for store runs and doctors appointments always car ported or covered so i was told... her and her daughter bought the car new off the lot in early 1990 so shes a one family owned 67000 or so mile 1989 rs 2.8L wit auto trani and black intor .. at frist she wouldnt start . starter wire was lose and vats key was bad ..so i read and bypassed it for $1.19 radio shack status resistor . then i got her radiator. the tv cable was messed up , the plastic had broke so i changed it and set it.. then got a new est and temp sensor and pcv valve. did a bunch of cleaning and fixing little odds and ends seat belt fix , plastc parts eazy stuff new center caps .. im pretty stoked on her , shes a champ runs like a dream nice power everything works great except the volts gauge is a little wierd likes to drop sometimes idk . next is some clip repair and small door ding fix ..i just painted the ground effects last weekend turned out good.. id like to to say thanks to you guys that keep this place going and a huge for all the post ive read that have help me get this far ...
i used to own a 280zxT did alot of work on her and posted it up a few years back this is that work http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/4799...+to+l28et+swap so now i will be posting here about my progress and such i guess .she needs a new hood has a small but unfixable dent ugh .. then maybe a swap will happen over time maybe a turbo build or v8 build idk yet , im in no rush being that she low miles and still really fresh ..thanks again for all the help , all post some more pictures after i wash her up again and if i run into any more volt drops or miss fires all be sure to ask for a helping hand ..
