Belt length?
Probably a dumb question, but since I've never had to do it before...
What's the easiest way to measure for a new belt? No, I can't use one of my stock belts, but I can cut one up to use as a measuring device (since nobody apparently wants an almost-new non-AIR with A/C belt!).
Measuring for the belt is one of the last half-dozen things left to do in the front of the car...

Re: Belt length?
Well damn if I had money I'd take the belt. It's for access but no air pump right? Problem is I don't get my check til the first. If I end up taking my air pump off ...other than removing pump and changing belt, the hole in the exhaust would take a 1/2" pipe plug? I have no access to a welder.

Re: Belt length?
I have 2 belts...
1. 915K6, non-AIR, with A/C and power steering, serpentine
2. 815K6, non-AIR, non-A/C, serpentine
915K6 didn't have much time on it, IIRC, before I finally ditched the A/C compressor (only remaining part of the A/C left for a while), and the 815K6 is almost new (bought to replace the other 815 which I thought was squealing but it turned out to be the water pump, again
).
I need to get the PS pulley before I can measure for the replacement belt, unfortunately.

Re: Belt length?
I had to measure mine when I put an underdrive pulley on mine after deleting a couple of other accessories. As stated above, take a rope/string and route it around all the pulleys. Make sure you keep it tight and then measure the length. You'll want to subtract an inch and a half or so from that. Take that measurement down to ______ parts store and get a belt around that length. You'll want to buy a few belts within that range, since you won't be spot on. Find the one that fits best and return the others. It took me a few tries, but it seems to work the best if you need a custom length belt.
