HELP!!! Freshly Rebuilt Engine Has No Power When In Gear
So I've been running into problem after problem with my 92 v6 camaro. After replacing the entire fuel system, just about every sensor in the car, the ECM, Just about every removable part under the hood from the distributor to alternator. Now i've been faced with a new problem... after getting the engine rebuilt now the car wont accelerate when in gear..... it will rev up just fine in nuetral.. but as soon as you throw car into first and attempt to take off you get NOTHING. it takes off slower than a GEO Metro with a clogged cat. PLEASE HELP

Check the fuel pressure on the rail when you have it in gear at stop and foot break it to simulate a load. See what it says.

Ok so the spark plugs arent burnt but the fuel is burning kinda rich, also I solved the no power issue. When the machine shop rebuilt my engine the geniuses decided to take out my knock sensor. (to see how my car would perform without it they said???) .... sooooo I put it back in plugged it up and now the car pulls off like a champ!!!!

Wow, well at least its fixed. What mechanic would take the knock sensor out to help performance?

Re: HELP!!! Freshly Rebuilt Engine Has No Power When In Gear
OK so now I'm up the creek without a paddle all over again. After not touching the car for 2 day's because it needed an alternator, I finally went and picked one up. When I tried to crank the car it ran for a 3 seconds then just started bogging down (idling super roughly) and when i pressed the throttle it just shut off...... I have no clue what's going on! 2 days ago the car was running fine. It cranks every time i turn the key but idle's suuuuuuper roughly and will not rev up at all PLEASE HELP!!!

Check all the wires around anything you may have touched.
Is it so rich its dying? Smell the exhaust when running, check plugs exc.
Seeing that its just now showing its face after you replaced the alt, its probly something very simple that is wrong.
Its hard to help your question when you just say its idles bad and dies. That could be so many things its not even funny. So try to pin point the symptoms and find out if its a fueling issue, a massive vac leak(listen for it if its that bad), a spark issue, or just a sensor wire that fell off or broke.

Re: HELP!!! Freshly Rebuilt Engine Has No Power When In Gear
Hey, not sure if you have already done this, hook up a fuel pressure tester and turn you r key to the on position. After the pump cycles turn the key off and see if the pressure drops off right away. It shouldn't drop more than 5 to at max 10 PSI. If you can't build at least 40ish PSI then pinch off the return line where to goes to a rubber hose and try to start the car again. Your car has many of the same symptoms mine had and I figured out that the rubber diaphragm in the fuel regulator in the rail dried out and was going bad. That test seals the return line so it will also show if you have a bad injector. If you don't drop pressure with the line pinched but do with it open then your regulator is shot. If you are still losing pressure then you should look at your injectors.
