Reinstalling drive belt - is something missing?

So I ended up finding both the front and rear steering pump brackets to replace the broken front bracket and the crappy piece of flat strap used in lieu of a rear bracket. Three questions:

(1)
On the diagram sticker, there appears to be 7 pulleys, but mine only has six. Also, how do I go about getting this belt back on there? I included a photo of what I assume the setup to be, but I don't see a tensioner like what I have come across online. I guess not all of these cars have a tensioner? I was expecting to find something that would be loosened by a 1/2" socket wrench, but I don't see it.

Considering that the previous owner did that cheap fix on the brackets, I wouldn't be shocked if something else wasn't quite right.

(2)
I have everything connected except for two things: The lower bolt that mounts the rear steering bracket to the engine, and the hose that goes into the steering pump at the bottom with a hex nut. Problem is, I don't know that I can reach either of these without coming in from below the car. I may have to, but I have a sloped driveway, so I'm hesitant to jack it up. Any suggestions for working with limited space?

(3)
This is the first work I have done on this car, so I am curious/worried about how much I have tightened these bolts, and the specific bolts used. There was a little gap in between where the top bolt of the rear bracket goes in and where it bolts at the AC. Everything else lined up, that just wasn't flush. I figured that I don't want to have any movement there, so I went and just picked up a similar bolt that was about 1/4" longer, and stuck a couple of washers in that gap to close it off and mount it flush. There was also a bolt on the front bracket that had the edges rounded off, so again, I replaced that bolt as well. Both bolts were just something from ACE with 8.8 printed on the top. Many of the bolts I have removed in this process have had 9.8, maybe a couple 8.8. Not sure of the differences in material. Will it matter?

Re: Reinstalling drive belt - is something missing?

Just to add to this post:

I guess the order of installation is just something that I'm having to learn as I go. Initially, I tried installing the rear bracket first, and THEN the steering pump. Problem there was that I couldn't squeeze the pump into that recessed area under the AC and line up those two studs on the back of the pump with the rear brace. Installing the rear brace last allowed everything to fit easier, but at the cost of how much room I have to work with.

For anyone who has done this before, do I have any other choice besides taking the PS pump back out and installing the rear brace first? I'd really prefer not to get under the car, but it seems like that may be the only way to do it without starting over.

Still not sure on how to get that drive belt back on there!

You are missing the AIR pump. I have a pulley where it used to be on mine. The tensioner is right next to the alt, just below the upper radiator hose. I think its a 13mm or 15mm and it turns to the right to release tension.

Is it a problem that I don't have that? I think I'll go back to the junkyard and grab one tomorrow, but just curious. Obviously I'll need a new belt since the current length wouldn't fit.

Thanks for the reply btw.

Don't bother getting an AIR pump unless your state regulations require it. Get a 915K6 (with A/C) or 815K6 (without A/C) and run the belt straight from the crank pulley to the alternator.

To install the parts:
1. Install rear brace.
2. Put hoses on PS pump. Leave pressure fitting slightly loose as you will need to adjust the final position of the hose.
3. Put pump onto rear bracket. Install nuts.
4. If you haven't already done so, install front bracket and pulley. Otherwise, put bolts into front bracket.
5. Tighten PS pressure fitting.
6. Install A/C compressor.
7. Install belt.

It passed smog without it before so I guess it's fine. This post just saved me a ton of time, and now I've got tomorrow all lined up for me! Thank you SO much!

This, no use for a AIR pump. I just happen to have a pulley to go in its place.
