Low power and check engine light
I have a 1985 v6 2.8L Camaro. I replaced a cracked cylinder head and had the other machined. So when I got it back together I have two problems. The first being a check engine light with the code 22. I had this issue before when I first got the car. I replaced the tps sensor like 4000 miles ago to try and fix the issue. It turned out to be just a vacuum leak. Now I have this code again. I cannot find any vacuum leaks. When I am accelerating the CEL goes away but when I slow down it returns. The second issue is no power at around 50mph. Even with the pedal floored I bairly gain any speed. The idle is also faster than it should be. The Throttle response feels pretty good. I think the second issue is caused by the timing being off what do you guys think?

Re: Low power and check engine light
Ok don't have a timing gun on hand but I will try and get a hold of one and see if that's the issue which I think it is. I have been doing it by ear so far and I can get it to slow down the idle by retarding the timing but then the car will not run right. So I advance it a hair at a time but it just idles fast when I get the idle to smooth out. I would say its idling around 1000 rpm or so (no rpm gauge in the dash).
