The past two mornings when I get in my car and start it, I hear a weird noise. I've never heard it from my car before. The best I can describe it would be a "clanking" or "knocking" noise. I believe it's been coming from under the driver and passenger seats. I have no idea what it may be, and it only happens on the first start of the day, not any other times during the day.

Anybody have any ideas what this could be?

 

Transmission?

 

probably the tranny mount.

Automatic?

 

It's automatic, guess I should have included that..haha..

Anyway it hasn't happened for the past two days..

 

Check your exhaust.

 

The stuff in that area is the trans mount, torque arm mount and exhaust hangers, crawl under and see if anything looks loose, broken, rotted, etc.
