3.1 throttle boddy bolts wont tighten down/

Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: stock
3.1 throttle boddy bolts wont tighten down/
so as the title says thats whats hapening its causing me to have am major leak making my motor run bad so when i slide the bolts into the holes it will slide a ways with the threads untill it grabs half way down the bolt instead of threading from the begining of the bolt i bought brand new bolts and its the same thing i have no idea what to do and i cant just go by a nother intake plenum

from what im seeing in prices right now now i canis there a posibility to run a long bolt through each hole and putting a nut on each end and tighenting it down

I've had this happen on the fuel rail threads before on the middle intake. What I did was use a larger tap and just re drill and re tap the hole for a standard bolt. Although a heli coil is easier, I was in a pinch and that worked fine.
I'm sure they your threads are shot though by what your saying. Steel bolts really eat up the threads if there over tq'ed or cross threaded at all, since the intakes and such are aluminum.

yea i cross threaded it does anyone know what helio coil kit i need is im trying to find it at autozone so i can get this beast on the road agian

I believe they're M8x1.25 but you should take one of the bolts to a hardware store where they have a thread gauge to be sure before you go and spend good money on a rethread kit that isn't going to work.
