timing question

I was checking the timing the other. Had the tan wire unplugged and was getting 10 degees solid. When I revved it the timing moves about. Is that normal?

Thanks

Re: timing question

Yes. Iirc, even with the esc wire unhooked the icm will add in timing above certain rpm. As long as your at 10 degrees btdc at a warm idle, your timings set good.
