I run AN fittings from the stock hardline to my mechanical fuel pump, to my carb. And I used them for my trans cooler lines. All one with -6AN and braided stainless steel hose. Its not cheap, but its way better than using rubber hose.

do i need to cut the factory nipple end off the hardline before putting the AN fitting on it (The part the hose now clamps to)?

No, there's an adapter for that. I'd have to look up the size though, I don't remember off the top of my head.

Mine being carbed, I don't have the hi-pressure fitting at the end of the line. Just the barbed hose end. I guess that's what I'm asking. Is there an AN fitting that will connect to the barbed hose end or do i need to cut the barbed end off and make it flush to use the compression fitting.

I believe you need to cut it off to it a smooth surface.

Re: 89 v6 cutting hole for fuel pump access help please

Very nice work RubberDucky !

When the rubber lines rotted in mine , I used high pressure hose and hoseclamps from an autoparts store . Mine were leaking and as a daily driver I needed it fixed asap . I cut the old collar clamps off the original hoses and used the fittings + clamps to put it all back together with . This has held up for a few years now with no problems ....
