Anyone interested in 3500 swap mounts?

I'm going to be making a set of 3500 mounts for myself in the next week or two. Just wondering if anyone would be interested if I made a few extra sets? They would either be solid steel mounts or they would utilize stock 2.8 mounts. K-member notch would obviously still be necessary. Price probably around $50 + shipping.

If it won't bolt in, and you're sticking with a GM 60* V6, why not the 3.6L? The LY7 version had up to 275 HP without direct injection. Find it in the '08 Buick Enclave, '07-'08 GMC Acadia, and the '07-'08 Saturn Outlook XR with optional dual exhaust ( probably just dual tips ). 275 at 6600, 251 foot pounds at 3200. That's the one I'd want. Plus with slightly lower static compression than later versions, slightly more friendly to slightly more boost. And non-DI means easier injector upgrades. Plus unlike the '12-up version, the exhaust manifolds being separate will make porting / polishing / coating possible. Having the '12-up junk Extrude-Honed won't be cost-effective.

The 3500 swap is much simpler and besides that there aren't any of those high feature engines around here for a good price. If they were more available I would possibly have gone that way.

Another hiccup with the high feature engine is having to swap the transmission along with it, which means fabbing a torque arm mount, crossmember and possibly a custom driveshaft

Also the 3.6 pistons look very flimsy compared to the 3500 pistons. I wouldn't trust stock pistons with much boost. The 3500 on the other hand will take 14 psi no problem with stock 9.8:1 compression.

Not to jack your thread nor to be argumentative, but to correct the info: In Australia GM combined these engines with 4L60Es, so the Aussie bellhousing would permit using a '98-up USA 4L60E, solving the issues of driveshaft, trans fitment, trans mounting, and torque arm mounting for anyone wanting to keep the GM arrangement.

An Australian bellhousing just means more shopping around for uncommon parts. You're probably better off just fabbing a torque arm mount since shipping from Australia would be killer.
