vibration rattle shake motor mount help

My car vibrates really bad and its noisey, when i am idling in gear. It will not do it when I am in Park or Neutral. I am assuming this is a bad motor mount?
Two questions.....
What is the recommended motor mount to get for an 87 v6? stock? This is an inner city car. Daily driver.

The second is, is there anybody that has done a comprehensive article on how to get rid of the rattles and noises our interiors are known for?

Re: vibration rattle shake motor mount help

Open the hood & have a helper watch the motor mounts as you torque the engine in gear (while using the brakes) do this in drive & reverse. If there's a bad one you'll see it.
As far as the noises I'd go around & tighten any screws that you can get to, esp. the dash. Make sure the strikers hold the doors closed tight.
