3.1l fuel mixture is off

my car is fouling out sparks plugs within a week. Currently it is idling rough and I have changed the wires, plugs, cap and button, Ignition coil and a oil change. The tps and map sensor(Nov 2014) are new also .also New injectors and fpr(Nov 2014). Changed the pump in 2013

My car starting to idle rough one night last week. Then it went away the next morning. The following night the problem came back and my car begin sputtering also. I made it home and I have been able to drive it since. Would this issue be timing related?

Timing is doubtful. It's possible the coil, cap and rotor could be up for replacement, I'd start there.

I had to edit the post but I've already changed those items this week actually

Check for vacuum leaks. A small leak on/near the MAP line could cause a rich condition.

Pull the FPR vacuum line and prime the fuel pump. Diaphragm in the FPR might be leaking fuel directly into the intake. It might be new-ish, but check anyways.

Then get a pressure gauge and check the fuel pressure. Could also be a leaking injector. Follow this up by checking injector resistance on both banks. Should be 4 ohms. Shorted injector could be holding others on same bank open.

I think injectors should be more like 13-16 ohms each with little variance.

I bought a fuel pressure gauge and multimeter from summit racing. What fittings do I need to connect the gauge to the fuel rail. Also what should be my ohms for my injectors?

You bought the wrong fuel pressure gauge. Should've bought an Actron fuel pressure tester for fuel injection.

Yes, those two parts should work. The line is a little short, but usable. The fuel pressure tap is on the fuel rail behind/below the plenum, in front of the distributor. Can be difficult to see, but it is there.

RBob.

Re: 3.1l fuel mixture is off

I was able to check the fuel pressure today. With the key in the On position, it started at 40 psi and dropped almost immediately. When I started the car, the fuel pressure was 35 psi. I'm going to check the injectors tomorrow
