Injector issue PLEASE HELP

I have all 6 injectors out without any issue and have managed to spare all of the retaining clips. I ordered 6 new injectors from southbayfuelinjectors.com and this is the link: http://www.southbayfuelinjectors.com...-1992-upgrade/ My issue is that the old injector clips dont exactly fit the new injectors and the injector is about an 1/8 in shorter from the lower intake manifold to the fuel rail. So, im hesitant of using the injectors. If you look close enough, there is a spot on the set of injectors i ordered for the c-clip to go but the injector would be loosely fitted to the fuel rail. Below that, is a notch for a straight clip to go through but the c clip will not fit it and that is the spot where the injector is more secured into the fuel rail. If i could just get some 2 cents here that would be awesome. I'm just wanting to know if i could get away without using the clips(i really dont want to but if i have to, so be it) or if i could find the straighter retaining clips at a parts store to replace them with.

Re: Injector issue PLEASE HELP

Hey decked...the clips should fit...kinda never heard of this issue as we've sold plenty of these injectors. They are actually the same as the yellow top 19lb bosch gen ll injectors and to our knowledge there is no fitment issue. They are actually shorter than the stock injectors just like the Bosch lll's. But the height isn't an issue because of the ability to use the clips.
If someone has ever had a fitment issue with the gen ll's perhaps they can chime in.
If you say that the stock clips do not work, which they should, then you might want to try the straight clips. If you continue to have issues please call us at the shop tomorrow.

Re: Injector issue PLEASE HELP

Ok, so I may have jumped to conclusions. The reason i got worried was because on the slot that the clips did fit in, the injector felt like it didnt have a good seal in the fuel rail. Turns out, it just needed a thicker o ring on it and it was good to go. I would say it is running like a beaut, but i accidentally destroyed a gasket and i need another one.
