Iac

I cant get the iac out to make my CAI. its like rusten in the nut thats welded on teh air canister. What do I do I gotta get that off to make the CAI right?

Use liquid wrench, pb blaster, etc or screw it and get a new one.

Don't you mean the IAT? the IAC is the idle air control motor in the throttle body, the IAT is the intake ait temperature sensor in the airfilter can.

Either way I'd expect to pay about $20 for a new one. Just about every GM 2.8 and 3.1 used the same sensor. Junkyard would be the first place I'd go if you're on a budget. Any autoparts store should be able to hook you up too.

I just put a wrench on it and taped it with a hammer a few times. Just rember a lot of small taps are better then one good smack. The tapping usally losens it up a bit.

Haha I got it loose finally I stood on the air canister used a cheater bar and it finally came off I'm just about done with my CAI just a little fixes here and there thanx guys.
