need help with exhuast...upgrading to hooker

how hard will it be to replace the cat by myself since it is weled on the slip fit inlet?

i will need a 2.5 in slip fit inled with a 2.5 male ball flanged oulet right? how lon though? (direct fit ones oare more expesive) (Catco defiantly)

i want to save as much money as i can so can i use my existing I-Pipe and just andd an Hooker Aero Chamber Muff? (with new hangers and tailpipes of course)

where can i get tailpipes? how much?

where can i get the hanger for the flange? my local junk yards wont allow me to remove items from under the car. (they all have removed the wheels and are lyin on their axels)

should i try to find more junk yards for hangers?

what is the difference between id and od? (is id what goies into and od what goes around?) (not sure)

From: on the streets
id= inside diameter...
od = outside diameter... ex: a "2.5 ID"fits inside a "2.5 OD"

and about what you said before... hooker maby out flows dynomax... well if you have 2 high flow mufflers then it would be beter than a single dynomax... so say 1 dynomax flows 300cfm, with a dual muffler setup the exhaust could flow 600cfm see what i mean? well i would rather get the one that sounds louder... previously i was gonna get a hooker exhaust cat back kit but i couldnt find any systems with a 3.5 intermediate pipe...

the ones at jegs was a 3inch intermediate pipe...

not shure whats best...

tail pipes: did you try autozone? make shure you know the exact size. also they have thoes rubber things that the clamps pop on to... i think they even have the hangers...

ps
520-16820 Camaro/Firebird 1983-92, 305(non-H.O.) $ 259.99
520-16822 Camaro/Firebird 1983-85, 305 $ 199.99
520-16823 Camaro/Firebird 1986-92, 305 H.O., TPI $ 259.99

these systems have a 3inch intermediate pipe... people say it give a parastetic loss for v6...
