Killer Deal for the Sixer
Picked up this killer deal. I thought it was too good to be true but so far i think it was legit. Guy had a rear end off a 99 z28 listed at 40 $
I know what a deal huh. I thought maybe it was trash but hey for 40 bucks ill take my chances and scooped it up. Rolled up and it looked good. Dude said he was selling the house and he needed to clear his yard. It was missing the brake lines , the handbrake cable and on oneside the caliper and rotor. Check it out. I'm not sure if its a posi, when i spin it only one side turns? Doesnt look like a posi. My rear is starting to moan a bit so i was hoping to put this is was hoping to do burnouts with both tires haha,I opened it up and its super clean. Nothing on the magnet and fluid looks great. The gears look great almost no wear. Was kinda hard to get cover off but thats ya good sign. I think i did good. Lmk what u think. So as were talking i ask what else does he have. Told him i got a v6 and he says he has a t5 off a 98 v6 camaro just sitting in the back that he never got to install . Said he payed 175 for it at the junkyard. Told me i could have it for another 20$$$
. I felt bad gave the man 40 $
. Check it out . Im sure its a world class t5 but lmk im not that sure . Im guessing it came off a 3.8 so all i need is a 3.1/3.4 bellhousing right to do the swap? Trans shifts good goes into every gear nice n smooth and to top it off came with a nice b and m shifter
. Lmk what u think
