I used to could burn first and then some of second and leave two black marks (yes in a straight line ) but now I can only get one black line. I think I need a tune up. I have beat the car fairly good for the past year and I got the last complete tune up in January of 2000. How do you tell if you need a complete tune up? Today I think my car was idling alittle rougher than usual at a light today (but then again I did have a semi in the lane next to me) Anyone?

could be the weather... the tires could be just slipping and not squealing... thats another thing that happens in cold weather... atleast what i noticed...

Id do a full tune-up.. check the output from your coil too.. how cold is it by you? I noticed my firebird didnt like cold weather performance too much.. you said you havent had a tune up in 2 years?! geeez! i change the plugs in my cars every six months, and our 97 suburban gets a full tuneup every 8 months.

2 Years since the last tune-up might have something to do with your cars performance. I was told to change Plugs every 10,000-12,000 miles. Try a new set of Plugs first off that should boost some power...But I aggree with Graeme, do a Complete Tuneup.

LOL my bad man! I just haven't gotten around to it. And being a car freak and all I have never actually figured out how often a tune up should be.

89camaroRSV6 I dont have an automatic and when I would use to power shift (not when the gas is always down but when you pop the clutch in the next gear and floor the gas at the right time, thats my idea of power shifting) I could burn a mad 2nd gear. Now if I do that with my Z and have my old tires on you would be in the ditch.
